Softball Game Preview: Riverside Warriors vs. Liberty Red Devils

The Riverside Warriors will challenge the Liberty Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Riverside has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Riverside fell victim to Boiling Springs and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 12-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Warriors have suffered against the Bulldogs since March 15, 2016.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Liberty). They were the clear victors by a 21-8 margin over Brashier Middle College Charter last Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Red Devils as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-14. As for Riverside, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10-1 record this season.
