Trisdan Fuller and Marquis Sams secure win for Beacon of Hope Christian

The matchup between the Beacon of Hope Christian Eagles and the Cedar Creek Christian Saints on Friday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. Beacon of Hope Christian strolled past Cedar Creek Christian with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. The win was just what Beacon of Hope Christian needed coming off of a 89-49 loss in their prior match.

Beacon of Hope Christian was led to victory by Trisdan Fuller and Marquis Sams. Fuller dropped a double-double on 24 points and 14 rebounds, while Sams dropped a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Fuller has scored at least a third of Beacon of Hope Christian's points. Malachi Wyatt was another key contributor, scoring two points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.

Beacon of Hope Christian's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-9. As for Cedar Creek Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.

Beacon of Hope Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Family Christian Center at 5:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Beacon of Hope Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday. As for Cedar Creek Christian, they will head out on the road to take on St. Johns Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in St. Johns Country Day's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home while Cedar Creek Christian has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
