Volleyball Recap: St. John Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when St. John faced off against Hoisington on Saturday. The Tigers fell 2-0 to the Cardinals. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost five in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-19.

Gentri Bright paced St. John's offense, picking up five kills. Bright really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Jalyn Fisher controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11-1. As for Hoisington, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

St. John wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Central Plains on the 27th. As for Hoisington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Phillipsburg on the 27th.
