Covington has been away from home for six games now, but on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the South Newton Rebels at 6:30 p.m.
On Monday, Covington came up short against Terre Haute North Vigo and fell 3-1. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Covington started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 25-23, 25-20, 25-17.
Meanwhile, South Newton beat Cascade 2-0 on Saturday.
South Newton didn't let Cascade take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-24.
Covington's defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 17-8. As for South Newton, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
