Volleyball Recap: Brookfield Takes a Loss

Brookfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Carrollton Trojans, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 25-19.

Brylie Plagman paced Brookfield's offense, picking up four kills. Plagman got some help from Kaylee VanWagoner and her four assists. Plagman was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Brookfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Carrollton, their win bumped their record up to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Brookfield will take on North Platte at 7:00 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Carrollton, they will challenge Chillicothe at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
