Basketball Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-42 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eastern Musketeers. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Musketeers earlier this season, when they won 49-46.

Salem's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Eastern, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-11 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem will face off against Silver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Silver Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Eastern, they will take on Henryville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern is facing Henryville at the right time seeing as Henryville is stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
