Recap: Hardaway Hawks vs. Bainbridge Bearcats
The Hardaway Hawks lost to the Bainbridge Bearcats back in February of 2023, but the Hardaway Hawks didn't allow the Bainbridge Bearcats the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Hardaway secured a 53-47 W over Bainbridge.
Hardaway's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mekhi Benton, who scored 18 points along with five assists and four steals. Lamell Mims was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Bainbridge lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Zyrell Williams, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals. Williams hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Tyrese ?Ty? Jones, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds.
Hardaway's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-8. As for Bainbridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-7.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Cairo the next time they take the court. Bainbridge will host Cairo at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Hardaway will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
