Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Winters walked away with it. They blew past the Williams Yellowjackets 47-6 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Lane Brown was his usual excellent self, rushing for 148 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries, while also throwing for 107 yards and a pair of TDs. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Winters was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 262 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 166 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.
Winters didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Macguire Plitt.
