Bishop hadn't done well against Santa Fe Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Eagles 4-3. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Eagles on Thursday, they had to take a 7-6 loss.

Bishop's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Clyde Kates, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Dane Larson was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Bishop's now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Santa Fe Christian, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 10-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bishop's will square off against rival La Jolla Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Santa Fe Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Classical Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
