Basketball Recap: Bacon County Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Marnay'jah Reynolds and Makayla Thomas

Bacon County lost against Brantley County back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bacon County Raiders took a 40-26 bruising from the Brantley County Herons. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bacon County's loss came despite strong showings from Makayla Thomas and Marnay'Jah Reynolds. Thomas almost dropped a double-double on 11 boards and nine blocks, while Reynolds posted 13 points. Thomas has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more rebounds the last 22 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jateria Smith, who scored eight points.

Bacon County is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9. As for Brantley County, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
