Football Game Preview: Windsor Owls vs. Fredericktown Black Cats

The Windsor Owls are taking a road trip to face off against the Fredericktown Black Cats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Windsor and eight for Fredericktown dating back to last season.

Windsor's last matchup with North County could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Friday. The Owls were outmatched by the Raiders and fell 36-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Owls were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Fredericktown played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Ste. Genevieve 56-13. While losing is never fun, the Black Cats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Dragons are ranked 82nd).

Windsor now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Fredericktown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Windsor couldn't quite finish off Fredericktown in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 and fell 41-38. Can the Owls avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
