Softball Recap: Reed-Custer Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Reed-Custer's offense. They came up short against the Manteno Panthers on Monday, falling 11-0. If the Comets were looking for revenge after losing 10-9 to the Panthers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The loss snapped Reed-Custer's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-5 record. As for Manteno, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

While Reed-Custer had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
