Preview: Williamsport Wildcats vs. Tuscarora Titans
The Williamsport Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tuscarora Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Williamsport had just enough and edged South Hagerstown out 59-57.
Williamsport can attribute much of their success to Jalen Coleman, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, and Ceonta Wilmore, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Wilmore has scored at least a third of Williamsport's points. Corry Nelson Jr was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Tuscarora had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 63-52 win over Brunswick on Friday. That looming 63-52 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Tuscarora yet this season.
Williamsport's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Tuscarora, their win bumped their record up to 2-15.
