Football Game Preview: Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors vs. Freeman Scotties + Official Tickets

The Cle Elum-Roslyn Warriors will face off against the Freeman Scotties at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Cle Elum-Roslyn had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 32-point drubbing they dealt Tonasket on Friday. The Warriors blew past the Tigers 38-6. With the Warriors ahead 26-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Meanwhile, Freeman's offense rose to the challenge against a Bulldogs defense that boasted an average of only 14.88 points allowed on Friday. The Scotties put the hurt on Colfax with a sharp 34-13 victory. Given the Scotties' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 232nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cle Elum-Roslyn better keep an eye on Logan Schultz. He was instrumental in Freeman's win, rushing for 199 yards on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 90 yards and one touchdown. Schultz also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Freeman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 245 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September.

Freeman's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Schultz, Cooper Florence, and Levi Wellner, who each picked up one sack apiece.
