Basketball Recap: Dinwiddie Makes It Three in a Row at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Dinwiddie rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Atlee Raiders by a score of 65-58. This was payback for the Generals, who suffered a 79-49 loss the last time these two teams met.

Madisyn Hurtt had an outrageously good game as she posted 31 points. Dinwiddie is 3-1 when Hurtt posts 25 or more points, but 6-12 otherwise. Carolina Berry was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Dinwiddie pushed their record up to 9-13 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Atlee, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-14.

Coming up, Dinwiddie won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Hanover at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hanover will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Dinwiddie surely won't give up without a fight. Atlee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
