Softball Recap: Holt Comes Up Short

Holt fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Grand Ledge on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Comets by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Comets this season, with their most recent loss being a 5-4 defeat on Tuesday.

Holt saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kara Sandberg, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Holt's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-9. As for Grand Ledge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Holt nor Grand Ledge have any future games scheduled.
