Baseball Recap: Center Starts off Right with Win over Foothill

Center had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Foothill Mustangs 19-1 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Center got a big performance out of Jason Bergman, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs Bergman has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amari Anderson, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Center has already played their next match, a 10-8 win against Grant on the 21st. As for Foothill, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Lindhurst on the 20th.
