Recap: Westbrook Wildcats vs. Gordon Longhorns
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Westbrook Wildcats, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They were beaten by the Longhorns 70-20 on Wednesday. Westbrook's defeat signaled the end of their 13-game winning streak.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Keegan Gilbreath, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. Gilbreath hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brannon Larson, who rushed for 54 yards and a touchdown.
Westbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Gordon, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
Westbrook does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gordon also has no future games currently scheduled.
