Baseball Recap: Joseph Cuppari Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat St. Mary's Prep

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times De La Salle Collegiate and St. Mary's Prep have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Pilots never let the Eaglets get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The Pilots haven't had any issues with the Eaglets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Mason Pilarski's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, De La Salle Collegiate saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Cuppari, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
