Basketball Preview: Grand Ledge Comets vs. Holt Rams
Grand Ledge and the Rams are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Grand Ledge Comets will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Holt Rams at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Grand Ledge lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They were outmatched by East Lansing on the road and fell 83-45. Grand Ledge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-17.
Meanwhile, Holt's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 86-74 to Waverly. Holt has not had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Grand Ledge has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Holt, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Grand Ledge beat the Rams 58-51 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Does Grand Ledge have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
