Baseball Recap: Waubonsie Valley Falls to Marmion in First Game of Season

Waubonsie Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Marmion Cadets by a score of 8-7 on Tuesday.

Josh Hung made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Hiroshy Wong, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Marmion now has a winning record of 1-0-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waubonsie Valley will challenge St. Charles East at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marmion, they are taking a road trip to challenge DeKalb at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
