Softball Recap: Hixson Triumphs

Three must be Hixson's lucky number: they beat Chattanooga Central with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Wildcats beat the Pounders by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-1. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Pounders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Hixson's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Chattanooga Central, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 13-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hixson will face off against Cleveland at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chattanooga Central, they will challenge Howard Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hustlin' Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Pounders surely won't give up without a fight.
