Baseball Recap: Clare Comes Up Short

Clare couldn't beat St. Francis on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Pioneers fell just short of the Gladiators by a score of 9-7. The Pioneers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Ryan Louch made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Clare's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7-1. As for St. Francis, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 18-8-1 record.

Looking ahead, Clare will challenge Standish-Sterling at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Francis, they will face off against Manistee at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
