Basketball Game Preview: Yreka Miners vs. Pierce Bears

The Yreka Miners will take on the Pierce Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Yreka's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Yreka took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 62-40 margin over Anderson. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Miners have posted since December 13, 2024.

Trevan Crane continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 21 points. The contest was his fifth in a row with at least 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler McLane, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, Pierce beat East Nicolaus 58-47 on Friday.

Pierce's win bumped their record up to 11-17. As for Yreka, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 11-17.

Yreka took their win against Pierce when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 67-43. Does Yreka have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pierce turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
