Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Classical). They put the hurt on Paul Cuffee with a sharp 25-6 win on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Purple, who have now won ten matches by seven runs or more so far this season.
Classical got a massive performance out of Vivian Hoffman, who got on base in four of her three plate appearances with eight stolen bases and one RBI. Those eight stolen bases gave Hoffman a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmy Tavares, who got on base in four of her two plate appearances with three stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.
Classical always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of 1.304. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of 1.304 or higher in three consecutive games.
Classical is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
