Recap: Charlotte Trojans vs. Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats
The Charlotte Trojans were the 55-51 winner over the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. Charlotte received a tough blow on Thursday as they fell 44-30 to Skidmore-Tynan. While losing is never fun, Charlotte can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1551st, while Skidmore-Tynan is ranked 342nd).
Skidmore-Tynan had a senior duo take command as Cole Rivers scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 steals and Bennett Martinez scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Rivers has scored at least 25% of Skidmore-Tynan's points. Another player making a difference was Alexander Gonzalez, who scored 5 points along with 7 assists and 7 rebounds.
Charlotte's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Skidmore-Tynan, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Charlotte will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Natalia at 9:30 a.m. on December 8th. As for Skidmore-Tynan, they will face off against Danbury at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
