Softball Recap: Gadsden Takes a Loss

Gadsden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Mayfield Trojans, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, with their most recent loss being a 17-1 defeat on Thursday.

Gadsden saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Krystal Lucero, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Gadsden's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Mayfield, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gadsden is set to face off against their familiar foe Alamogordo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Mayfield will take on rival Organ Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
