Basketball Game Preview: Bogalusa Lumberjacks vs. Pine Raiders

Bogalusa is 2-8 against Pine since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bogalusa Lumberjacks will host the Pine Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Bogalusa is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 30-15 bruising from Sarah T. Reed.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Pine's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost to Doyle at home by a 66-48 margin.

Bogalusa's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Pine, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-4.

Bogalusa took a serious blow against Pine in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 50-15. Can Bogalusa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
