Basketball Recap: Willapa Valley Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

Willapa Valley had won six straight home games dating back to last season and Tylar Keeton did her part to make it seven on Thursday. The Willapa Valley Vikings managed a 45-41 victory over the Naselle Comets thanks in part to Keeton, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

The win got Willapa Valley back to even at 3-3. As for Naselle, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

When Willapa Valley and Naselle next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Willapa Valley will try to stop Raymond/South Bend's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on December 30th. Meanwhile, Naselle will try to stop Pe Ell's seven-game winning streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
