Baseball Recap: Hays Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Hays was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell just short of the Piper Pirates by a score of 2-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Indians have suffered since May 9, 2024.

Hays' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-6. As for Piper, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hays will welcome Liberal on Thursday. As for Piper, they will challenge Shawnee Heights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
