Volleyball Recap: Hialeah Educational Academy Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Hialeah Educational Academy extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Emily Ortega. The Biggie put the hurt on the Hialeah-Miami Lakes Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday for which the team can thank Ortega, who had 12 assists and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

The final score came out to 25-5, 25-18, 25-9.

Hialeah Educational Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Hialeah-Miami Lakes, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hialeah Educational Academy will welcome Mater Brickell Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hialeah-Miami Lakes, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on International Studies at 3:30 p.m. on October 1.
