Baseball Game Preview: Louise Hornets vs. Ganado Indians

The Louise Hornets are taking a road trip to take on the Ganado Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Louise comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Louise fell victim to Shiner and their airtight pitching crew back in March. They lost 20-0 to the Comanches.

Meanwhile, Ganado had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Bloomington a 27-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Indians have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Luke Reid was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single hit, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

In other batting news, Callen Hajovsky was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Ganado is undefeated when Hajovsky posts three or more hits, but 2-8-1 otherwise. Luke Bures was another key player, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3.

Ganado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .786. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Louise's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Ganado, their record now sits at 5-8-1.

Louise might still be hurting after the 27-0 defeat they got from Ganado when the teams last played back in March. Can Louise avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
