Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tyson Elliott and Asa Gura Lead Invest Collegiate Imagine to Victory

Invest Collegiate Imagine won the last time they faced The Franklin School of Innovation and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Invest Collegiate Imagine Kingfishers took down The Franklin School of Innovation Thunderbolts 65-47. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Kingfishers.

Leading Invest Collegiate Imagine to victory were Asa Gura and Tyson Elliott. Gura dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 steals, while Elliott went 10 for 20 en route to 25 points and five steals. Gura's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gabe Ordiway, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine steals.

Invest Collegiate Imagine's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for The Franklin School of Innovation, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Invest Collegiate Imagine has already played their next contest, a 59-33 victory against Mount Pisgah Academy on the 16th. As for The Franklin School of Innovation, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
