Softball Recap: Silas Wins Going Away Against Lincoln

Silas won the last time they faced Lincoln and things went their way on Monday too. The Rams put the hurt on the Abes with a sharp 20-6 victory. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Nevaeh Rodriguez was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Claire Walsh, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one double.

Silas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win made it two in a row for Silas and bumps their season record up to 8-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silas will venture away from home to challenge Central Kitsap at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lincoln, they are taking a road trip to square off against Bellarmine Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
