Basketball Game Preview: Workman Lobos vs. La Serna Lancers

The Workman Lobos will head out to challenge the La Serna Lancers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Workman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 20 matchups.

Workman is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Pomona: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Workman blew Pomona out of the water with an 81-18 final score. The Lobos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, the third road matchup was the charm for La Serna, as they earned their first road win of the season. They secured a 51-47 W over California on Wednesday.

Workman's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 30.4 points. As for La Serna, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 12-10.

Things could have been worse for Workman, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-40 loss to La Serna in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Workman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
