Football Recap: East Lee County Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

East Lee County had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell to the Lehigh Lightning 6-0. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lightning apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Lehigh's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-1.

Coming up, East Lee County will challenge Nova at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lehigh, they will be playing at home against Bonita Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bonita Springs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lehigh surely won't give up without a fight.
