Soccer Recap: Tallwood Takes a Loss

Tallwood lost against First Colonial back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Patriots. While losing is never fun, Tallwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while First Colonial are ranked 48th).

Tallwood's goal came courtesy of Aidan Huffman, who's now up to five this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Tallwood and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for First Colonial, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2-1 and their overall record up to 3-3-1.

Tallwood didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Maury on the 29th. As for First Colonial, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Salem on the 29th.
