Basketball Recap: Jadon Wilson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mt. Pleasant over Huntland + How To Watch

Mt. Pleasant fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Huntland on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 60-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since February 11th.

Mt. Pleasant lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jadon Wilson, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season. Another player making a difference was Zion Hollis, who went 7-for-9 to rack up 15 points and six rebounds.

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Huntland, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Mt. Pleasant will head out on the road to square off against Battle Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers will be up against the Grizzlies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 66 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Huntland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Culleoka at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
