Anna is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight matches on Tuesday. They came up short against Melissa, falling 3-0.

While Anna was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Melissa's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-23.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Greenville duked it out with Sherman on Tuesday. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Bearcats.

Greenville might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Sherman: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-23, 25-23.

Greenville's loss dropped their record down to 13-20. As for Anna, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-21.

Anna skirted past Greenville 3-2 in their previous matchup back in September. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Lions' Lyric Jacobs, who had 17 digs and six assists.
