Baseball Recap: Taylor Prep Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Taylor Prep dropped their record down to 17-11 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Inter-City Baptist Chargers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 9-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

As for Inter-City Baptist, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games.

For Inter-City Baptist's part, Wesley Pfeiffer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Pfeiffer a new career-high. Easton Anthony was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

As of now, neither Taylor Prep nor Inter-City Baptist have any future games scheduled.
