Recap: Taylor Ducks vs. Leander Lions
The Taylor Ducks lost against the Leander Lions back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Taylor was beaten by Leander 70-38. While losing is never fun, Taylor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1254th, while Leander is ranked 355th).
Despite the loss, Taylor still got an impressive performance from Eli Laurence, who scored 18 points. Laurence continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Treos Richardson, who scored 13 points.
Taylor's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Leander, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Taylor will be home for the holidays to greet St. Andrew's at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Andrew's is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Leander, they will head out on the road to face off against Liberty Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
