Basketball Recap: Olivia Shidler's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Clay City over North Daviess

After flying high against South Vermillion last Saturday, Clay City came back down to earth. The Clay City Eels came up short against the North Daviess Cougars on Tuesday, falling 49-28. The loss continues a trend for the Eels in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost six in a row.

Clay City's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Olivia Shidler, who posted ten points. Taylor Rhienhart was another key player, putting up eight points along with seven boards and three steals.
