Softball Recap: Minneota Vikings vs. Ortonville Trojans
Minneota had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Ortonville Trojans a 17-0 shutout.
Dakota Pesch was incredible, going 2-for-2 with a home run, three stolen bases, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabelle Hulzebos, who scored two runs and stole five bases while going 1-for-2.
Ortonville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minneota will take on Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ortonville, they will head out on the road to face off against Renville County West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
