Isabel Sanchez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. She struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). She was dominant the last time she took on Eureka back in March of 2025, so they probably should've seen this coming. Sanchez has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Sanchez and Fortuna will be playing at home against McKinleyville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Sanchez's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Huskies' seven-game streak of wins at home.
