Lane Tech came tearing into Saturday's match with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Conant Cougars by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Champions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Janelle-Elise Ibeagha paced Lane Tech's offense, picking up 11 kills. Ibeagha got some help from Maya Rodgers and her 13 assists. Rodgers also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Colette Heneghan, racking up two apiece.

The win got Lane Tech back to even at 10-10. As for Conant, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Lane Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Solorio on the 15th. As for Conant, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Schaumburg on the 16th.
