Softball Recap: Bothell Wins Going Away Against Cedarcrest

Bothell's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Cedarcrest Red Wolves. The game marked the Cougars' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Addison Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Sammi Bishop was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Berlin Roberts was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

The win got Bothell back to even at 4-4. As for Cedarcrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bothell will venture away from home to take on Liberty at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bothell's pitchers better be ready for this one: Liberty has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Cedarcrest, they will square off against North Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. North Creek will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Cedarcrest surely won't give up without a fight.
