Volleyball Recap: Williams Field Black Hawks vs. Sunnyslope Vikings

The Williams Field Black Hawks didn't have quite enough to beat the Sunnyslope Vikings on Saturday and fell 2-1. The loss was the Black Hawks' first of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sunnyslope to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayes Haan, who had 11 kills and four digs. Haan has been hot recently, having posted five or more kills the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaelyn Simmons, who had 11 assists and six digs.

Williams Field's defeat dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Sunnyslope, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Coincidentally, Williams Field and Sunnyslope will both be playing Perry the next time they take the court. The Black Hawks will head out to face the Pumas at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Vikings will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
