Baseball Recap: Fruitdale Takes a Loss

Fruitdale lost against Leroy last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates lost 17-1 to the Bears. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fruitdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lane Cochran, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Fruitdale's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Leroy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-2.

Looking ahead, Fruitdale will be playing at home against Choctaw County at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Leroy, they will venture away from home to challenge Jackson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
