Softball Recap: Highland Park Hornets vs. Sanford-Fritch Eagles
Highland Park couldn't beat Sanford-Fritch on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Hornets lost 24-8 to the Eagles. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Kaitlin Lucas was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out 12 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up three earned (and 11 unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
