Basketball Preview: Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves vs. Kirtland Hornets
The Cuyahoga Heights Red Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Kirtland Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cuyahoga Heights will be strutting in after a victory while the Hornets will be coming in after a loss.
On Saturday, Cuyahoga Heights was able to grind out a solid win over the Trojans, taking the game 55-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cuyahoga Heights.
After soaring to a 30-point win in their last game, Kirtland came back down to earth on Friday. They fell just short of Crestwood by a score of 67-64. It was the first time this season that Kirtland let down their fans at home.
Cuyahoga Heights is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Kirtland, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-4.
Cuyahoga Heights beat the Hornets 52-44 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cuyahoga Heights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
